The long and winding road

We’re in California! Kelly D. has a wedding in San Diego tomorrow, so we packed up the circus and took it on the road. We’re hitting Disneyland, the beach, and the mothership for our boys….LegoLand.
We packed up last night, woke the boys up at 4 am and hit the road early. They were so good in the car. I was pleasantly surprised.
As soon as we got to the motel, though, they were dying to expel some of their energy…

As they jumped on the bed they sang, “M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E”

Kelly was the driver for entire trip, so to give him some quiet time after all our stuff was unloaded, we had Lego building competitions. There were three winners. Prizes: $1 each.

When it was time to go get dinner, I sent Tate down to the car to retrieve my bra which came off somewhere between Beaver, UT and Baker, CA.

As I write this post, everyone is in bed. Tate and Beck won’t stop playing around, so I’m shushing them every five minutes.
I think the light of my laptop is keeping them awake, so this concludes my report.

i totally needed that. :) preparing my gospel doctrine lesson on the abrahamic covenant. it was a little too heavy around here for a friday night!

I didn’t realize you guys were driving out here! I hope the weather clears up so you can enjoy the beach but stays gross on the Disneyland days so it wont be crowded :)

I am pretty much green with envy right now. I LOVE San Diego, and the beach and Disneyland….. Can’t wait for my next trip. Have fun!

I’ve been waiting for the SoCal post. I knew you were going…. oh I can’t wait to hear about all the adventures. I’m taking the kids without Chad in March during our break. Do you think I can manage Legoland solo? I’m going to do it anyway :) Have a great adventure. Love the bra shot.. he he.
