Where did the day go?
Oh, my goodness, friends. I have spent the entire day reading that book. I finished it. My good friend Shelby casually mentioned yesterday that I might enjoy a book called Twilight.
I do realize now, that I may be one of only a handful of people who hadn’t heard of this series before.

Did she know that it would cause me to completely ignore my family? I think she did. I vaguely recall her whispering in the phone, “It consumes my thougts.”
It was so hard to go to sleep last night. I read until my eyes were too heavy to stay open. I read as soon as I woke up until the constant pleas for breakfast from the boys were too much to ignore.
I literally had to force myself to go through the usual morning routine. Make the bed. Check. Do the breakfast dishes. Check. Throw in a load of laundry. Check. Shower….eh! We’ll skip that, now where is that book?
I sat in the middle of the lawn and read while the boys played outside. When they asked for lunch finally at 2 o’ clock, I told them we were skipping it today. An experiment to see if they would eat their dinner better. After another hour they were begging for an apple or some cheese or something.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever boys, whatever you can reach without my help. Just stop talking to me.”
I don’t know if every copy has a little teaser of the next book in the series, but mine did! And it is all I can do to restrain myself from running to the bookstore and buying a copy right now.
Tomorrow will have to be soon enough.

My friend just told me of her similar experience with these books. She has 5 kids, and she read all 3 of the books in 3 days! She too said they consumed her! She bought them to read while she was in the hospital the next few weeks with her son’s surgery, but read them ALL in three days. I guess I will have to give them a try…..after school starts or I may be in trouble! Can you give a brief synopsis of the story?
I wondered if it might be this series.
I read both the first and second books in a day each, and had pre-ordered the third…my first pre-order, EVER….and still don’t have it. I’ve been dying, knowing that I could go out and buy it! In fact, yesterday I finally canceled the order and I’m going to go pick it up today….and I’m thinking that Caleb is going to have to make his own dinner tonight.
so glad it had the same effect on you as me! Just wait until you read New Moon and I’m in the middle of Eclipse! You are going to die!!!!!
My sister just told me about this book and series the other day and now it seems everyone I know is reading, taling, and obsessing about them. I think I may wait to read them when the 4th book comes out so I won’t have to get to the end of Eclipse and have to wait. And besides I just started my fall semester and i know if I start Twilight I will forget studying and I cannot afford to do that this semester. Oh, what to do?
Now I have to go right out and buy this book. I don’t like fiction, will I still like it? This is a link to her web site http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/index.html Her bio sounds just like you wrote it. Are you sure you are not her ghost writer?
