Last Day in Florida
We went back to the Magic Kingdom today. It was spring break around here and in New York, so it was super crowded again. We had a great time anyway…just couldn’t get on too many rides. We are ready to come home now. We all miss Molly, I miss my kitchen and my bed. I think the switch in my brain has been turned on to think it’s summer time because of the sunshine here. I fear if it snows at home I may slip into a deep depression……

Last but not least, Beck. He just didn’t want to miss out on any action, so he wouldn’t lay back to sleep! But finally, he just couldn’t stay awake any longer.

Sorry to tell you, but you will be coming home to snow on the ground. At least the sun was out today. Hopefully the snow won’t stick around for much longer.
Sometimes I wish that I could fit in a stroller and do that exact thing. I’m glad you are all coming home so I can hear more!
[...] The little guy loves all things Mickey Mouse. Ever since we went to Disney World last February and bought him a Mickey plush toy as a souvenir he’s hooked. This was the theme for his birthday party tonight. I wanted to make him a Mickey cake, of course. But, I didn’t want to do one of those flat ones that would require me to draw the face with frosting. Since the Sponge Bob cake attempt, I have come to terms with my lack of ability in this area. I had the idea to make a 3 dimensional cake that looked like one of those Mickey Mouse antenna balls you see on cars. I got the idea from this sweet little salt and pepper shaker set I bought on our trip. I collect salt and pepper shakers. That’s a little known fact about Kelly Anne. I was so happy with how this cake turned out, so here’s a step by step of how it all came together. I will tell you that the hardest part about this was getting the frosting to be a true black. I found some black food coloring at the grocery store, but when mixed with white icing it just looked grey. After adding an entire bottle of food coloring I finally thought to make the frosting chocolate. A lot of cocoa powder did the trick. Now I know. [...]
